BHRS, also known as wraparound, is a behavioral health service providing therapeutic services to support children up to the age of 21 who are experiencing social, emotional and behavioral challenges. BHRS works with the child and their families to assist them in developing strategies to manage challenging behaviors more effectively in the home, community and/or school setting.

Services utilize a team approach where the family, community members and professional staff work through issues to establish a strengths-based, comprehensive treatment plan, and promote the transfer of skills to the caregivers.

The treatment team may consist of:

Behavioral Specialist Consultant – develops the treatment plan, monitor the implementation and consults with other professionals involved with the child.

Mobile Therapist –Provides therapy to child and family as outlined in the treatment plan in the home, school or community.

Therapeutic Support Specialist – may be provided in home, school or community. TSS helps to implement the treatment plan by providing immediate feedback to child, modeling strategies to caregivers and collecting data.

For more information, contact the BHRS Coordinator at (267) 203-1500 extension 149.
