Dear Friends of Indian Creek Foundation,
Once again, Indian Creek Foundation is participating in Giving Tuesday, a global day of giving that harnesses the collective power of individuals, communities, and organizations to encourage philanthropy and celebrate generosity worldwide. Occurring on November 27th, Giving Tuesday is held annually on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving to kick-off the holiday giving season and inspire people to collaborate in improving their communities. It’s a great opportunity for individuals to become stakeholders in something bigger.
For 43 years, Indian Creek Foundation has served adults and children with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Bucks and Montgomery Counties. When you support Indian Creek Foundation, you are opening doors for our individuals to work in meaningful employment, volunteer in their communities, and live comfortably in their homes.
This year, we are asking our Giving Tuesday donors to support an important project at one of our homes, Highland House. Highland is home to four women who range in age from their 40s to mid-70s. Of the four, one is wheelchair bound and two others utilize walkers to get around. Right now, staff have to assist each individual along a temporary, metal-framed ramp in order to enter the home. To make their home more accessible, a permanent ramp must be installed. A recent estimate placed the cost of this project at nearly $20,000.
All online donations received on November 26th and 27th will be earmarked towards this important project. Construction is scheduled to begin by early 2019.
Your contribution to Indian Creek Foundation will allow us to better serve to the four ladies who live at Highland Home. By improving accessibility, you will help us to open doors to more community involvement for each of them. Please consider making a donation by clicking on the button at the bottom of this message or contacting our development department. Our development staff is available to discuss this or the many other ways that you can support Indian Creek Foundation.CLICK HERE TO SUPPORT HIGHLAND HOUSE
